The spend-to-save app rounds up everyday purchases and automatically saves the difference into a user's nominated KiwiSaver accounts.
The announcement is the latest recognition for the Feijoa team, building on their selection into the 2026 Creative HQ Fintech Lab accelerator and their Audience Choice win at the Kiwibank Start Up Pitch Breakfast at the FinTechNZ Hui in March. The annual INFINZ Awards celebrate excellence across New Zealand’s financial services sector, with the Innovation category recognising organisations using technology as an enabler — creating real value for customers and the wider economy. For Feijoa, that means not just making saving easier, but making it safe and trustworthy for everyday New Zealanders to do so.
“Being named a finalist alongside some of the most respected names in New Zealand financial services means a lot to us,” says Mark White-Robinson, Co-Founder of Feijoa. “It’s the sector saying that technology has a genuine role to play in helping Kiwis build a better financial future — a sentiment that sits right at the heart of what Feijoa does: making saving a frictionless and natural part of everyday life.”
The numbers back this up. Feijoa users are currently contributing an average of $2.60 per day — close to $1,000 in additional KiwiSaver savings per year — without changing income, budgets or financial habits. And because Feijoa allows users to share round-ups across multiple KiwiSaver accounts, parents and grandparents are using it to quietly build a head start for the people they love.
“With Feijoa, the round-up from every coffee or grocery shop compounds into something meaningful over time. That’s the idea we’ve built the whole product around and it’s great to see the financial services sector recognising its potential.”
The INFINZ finalist announcement comes as Feijoa continues to develop its platform, with plans underway to introduce rewards and features to further encourage everyday saving. “We’re focused on building the infrastructure for a future where better savings outcomes are the default, not the result of greater effort or financial expertise. There’s a lot more to come.”
The INFINZ Awards will be presented at a gala dinner on 14 May 2026.
