How to Request Account Deletion
To request the deletion of your Feijoa account, please follow these steps:
Method 1: In-App Request (Recommended)
- Open the app on your Android device.
- Navigate to the User Settings screen (button at top right)
- Scroll to the bottom and select "Close Account"
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your intention to close your account.
Method 2: Contact Support
If you encounter any issues with the method above, you can also request account deletion by contacting our support team at info@feijoa.kiwi
Please include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line and provide your username and registered email address to help us process your request efficiently.
What Happens to Your Data?
Upon receiving and verifying your account deletion request, we will proceed to delete your personal data associated with your Feijoa account.
Data that will be permanently deleted includes:
- Profile Information: Your email address, date of birth, etc
- KiwiSaver recipient details
- Bank details and transaction history
- Device information & analytics
Data that may be kept:
In some limited circumstances, we may need to retain certain information for a longer period. This includes:
- Anonymized or Aggregated Data: Data that has been stripped of all personal identifiers and aggregated for statistical analysis, trend monitoring, or service improvement purposes. This data can no longer be linked back to you.
- Data Required for Legal or Regulatory Compliance: Information we are legally obligated to retain, such as records related to financial transactions, or to comply with lawful requests from government authorities.
- Data Necessary for Security and Fraud Prevention: Information that may be kept to protect the security of our services, prevent fraud, or enforce our terms of service, for a limited and justifiable period.
- Support Communication Records: If you have contacted our support team, we may retain records of those communications for a period to ensure quality of service and address any follow-up issues.
Important:
- Irreversible Process: Once your account and associated personal data are deleted, this action is generally irreversible. You will not be able to recover your account or the data associated with it.
